Start with what needs to leave
Sort retained belongings from waste before requesting a quote. Photographs should show the full space as well as any large individual items. Explain whether the job covers a few boxes, a single storage area or all unwanted contents.
Lofts and awkward access
Tell us about loft hatches, fixed stairs, ladders, low ceilings and floor conditions. Do not assume loading from a loft is included without discussing safe access. Agree where items will be collected from before moving anything heavy yourself.
Garage rubbish and old equipment
List shelving, furniture, tools and electrical equipment separately from ordinary bagged rubbish. Paint, fuel, oil, batteries and unknown containers must be identified before collection so acceptance and handling can be checked.
Shed contents or a dismantled shed?
Clearing the contents of a shed is different from removing the structure itself. We collect contents and already-dismantled materials for disposal. We do not dismantle sheds, carry out demolition or perform building work.
Prepare the loading route
Measure narrow gates and mention steps or long paths between the waste and the vehicle. Keep shared entrances clear. Update the item list if more waste is added after a quote is agreed.
