Preparing a garden waste clearance
Our man-and-van garden waste service collects cuttings, branches, leaves and unwanted garden items for disposal. The service covers waste collection; gardening, landscaping and dismantling structures are not included.
Separate green waste from other materials
Describe grass cuttings, leaves, hedge trimmings and branches separately from plant pots, fencing, furniture and rubble. Do not assume soil, turf or treated timber can be included with plant material. Ask about each type before arranging collection.
Estimate the quantity
Photograph the whole pile from more than one angle. Tell us approximately how many bags there are and mention long branches or heavy sections of timber. Avoid overfilling bags: weight and safe handling matter as well as volume.
Explain how the garden is reached
Mention side gates, steps, narrow paths and whether access runs through the house. Give the approximate distance from the waste to a suitable collection point. Tell us about parking restrictions that could affect loading.
Garden structures and heavy materials
An old shed, fence panels, paving slabs or a pile of soil is a different enquiry from a few bags of leaves. Explain whether structures have already been taken apart. Sheds, fences and decking must already be dismantled before collection. We do not provide dismantling, demolition or construction work.
Before collection day
Agree the accepted materials and loading arrangements. Keep children and pets away from stored waste and leave access routes clear. If the contents or size of the pile changes after the quote, send updated photos before collection.
